Dash Diet Zucchini Recipes
Zucchini Chips
Zucchini's are packed with so many important vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. They are high in fiber and low in fat, sugar and have a low-calorie count. The fiber plays an important role in digestion .
I recommend using a mandoline for slicing zucchinis to get an even size of slices and a more consistent shape of Dash Diet Zucchini Chips.
Ingredients:- 2 medium zucchinis, sliced thinly about 1/8 inch thin. (Then paper towel to pat away an excess moisture.)
- 1/2 cup
breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated
Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp dried
oregano
- 1/2 tsp garlic
powder
- 1 egg, beaten
Instructions:
- Preheat the air
fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Combine
breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, oregano, and garlic powder in a bowl.
- Dip zucchini
slices in the beaten egg, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
- Arrange in the
air fryer basket in a single layer, don’t overcrowd.
- Air fry for
10-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, cook until golden brown, let them
cool to crisp up.
Seasoning alternatives
Italian – Add a
teaspoon of Italian seasoning and 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder.
Spicy -If you like a
little spice then try a teaspoon of Cajun seasoning or a very
light dusting of cayenne
Ranch – You can toss
the chips in a teaspoon of my ranch seasoning mix either before or
after air frying.
